Assisted dying case back in court on 17 July 2017

The Noel Conway v Ministry of Justice case has been listed for a full five day hearing starting in July – according to Dignity in Dying who are supporting Mr Conway’s case. This is not the first case that has attempted to change the law to allow assisted dying. Noel Conway’s case follows a line of cases involving broadly similar issues including the highly publicised cases of Tony Nicklinson and AM which readers may be familiar with. Mr Conway suffers from motor neurone disease and his wish is to decide the timing and manner of his death when he is in his final six months of life.
